Why would we when 411 is so much faster. Currently you probably pay $2.00 for each of those calls, until now! Her is how you bypass that ridiculous service charge for dialing 411.

We can do this by using Google Cellular, NO ADS! and Totally free.

First you send a text message to the word “GOOGLE” which is 46645. And in the message you put the name of the business or location. And the city or zip. Then you are sent in 5 seconds you are sent that contact information for that business or location. You can also do this with weather by typing “Weather then location or zip in the text message.”

This is my first full blown website with Actionscript 3.0.
Developing this site I learned that you must error proof as you go or an end product will be a big roll of duck tape.

10 Useful tips in developing a large scale flash as3 site that is fully dynamic in every way possible.

  1. Start with SWF Address or Gaia and work your site around those frameworks for deeplinking.
  2. Consistently check to make sure the flash doesn’t bog down the processor and loading times are adequate
  3. Use as many classes as you can to cut down on repetitive functions
  4. Make sure all a href=”" target=”_blank” links are not blocked by browser popup blockers as you code to save headache at crunch time.
  5. Disable all elements on stage that are not in the tabIndex by tabEnabled = false;
  6. Make sure you have all the up-to-date free debugging software. Flash Tracer is great if your on FireFox
  7. Make sure you removeEventListeners as you develop for garbage collection
  8. One object to rule them all. If your loading in XML create an object={}; so you can call one central location to prevent player corruption down the road.
  9. Instead of for loops everywhere try forEach()

So I bought the PDF version.

I was interested in purchasing the book just to step up my game a bit, but quickly found this book for very uneducated freelancers. If you are new to the internet and dealing with people How To Be A Rockstar Freelancer is for you, but if you have had a few successful projects just keep doin what your doin and make that money rather than spend it on novice materials.

I have also been looking into purchasing The Web Design Business Kit for contracts and usable documentation, little steep for my wallet just yet.
